About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Flight Engineering Manager (Level K) to lead the Noise, Vibration & Emissions organization within Flight Sciences at our Everett, Washington site. This strategic leadership role requires a proven technical leader to oversee aircraft acoustics, vibration mitigation for structural durability, and emissions/climate considerations across multiple programs. You will inspire and develop engineers, ensure technical excellence and delivery, and drive cross‑functional collaboration to advance quieter, more resilient, and environmentally responsible airplanes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • Experience in Flight Engineering in one or more of the following Flight skills with a focus on innovative solutions (Acoustics & Vibration, Computational Fluid Dynamics etc.)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in the Flight Sciences / Acoustics, Vibration & Emissions domain

Responsibilities

  • Community Noise Certification of new and derivative airplanes as well as product improvements, including Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) and Safety & AirWorthiness (SAW) support
  • Customer / Delivery support and product improvement for interior / ramp noise for the airplane during build, delivery and in-service
  • Noise and Emissions regulatory coordination
  • Vibration support for airplane systems, equipment, and suppliers
  • Acoustics, Vibration and Emissions requirements definition, design development, and verification/validation for new and derivative airplanes
  • Marketing and Sales Support related to the environmental performance of Boeing airplane models, including performance guarantees
  • Noise and Emissions assessments in support of product development configuration trade studies and/or advanced concepts studies
  • Technology Development (and transfer) for acoustics and emissions, especially to support development programs
  • Tools and Methods development for acoustics, vibration and emissions
  • Local Airport and Global impact assessments due the noise and emissions from airplane operations
