About The Position

The FLIGHT DECK Facilitator plays an integral role in executing the sites FLIGHT DECK (Lean) transformation strategy. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the shop, training others, and applying Lean tools such as 5S, visual management, waste identification, and basic problem solving. The Grand Rapids site is on an exciting Lean transformation journey! For more than 15 years, our manufacturing facilities in Grand Rapids have helped fuel the growth and success of GE Aerospace. This includes Avionics Computing Systems, Mission Systems, Navigation and Guidance Systems, and Vehicle Health & Data Management products. Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience in process improvement)

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)

Responsibilities

Promote a Lean culture and drive continuous improvement using FLIGHT DECK
Conduct training, promote, and practice basic Lean principles and tools
Support teams in the application of basic Lean tools, such as 5S and visual management, across the shop
Drive sustainment of improvements in coordination with team Coaches and support staff
Apply basic problem-solving skills in support of cell Daily Management processes
Facilitate cross-functional teams through Kaizen events
Facilitate training in FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and other applicable Lean tools
