About The Position

GE Aerospace is seeking a dynamic, and results driven FLIGHT DECK Specialist to deploy GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating model, FLIGHT DECK, and ensure alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) priorities. The FLIGHT DECK Specialist will coach teams, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to deliver exceptional value to customers. This position will guide the Operations teams through their FLIGHT DECK journey, providing ongoing teaching and coaching of lean principles, theories, practices, and driving ownership and adoption through the Operations team. This position will require up to 20% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • At least an additional 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Training
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee or refugee status) for access to U.S. export-controlled information
  • Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Coach and deploy FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including Standard Work, Daily & Visual Management, Value Stream Management, Operating Cadences, Action Planning, Problem Solving, 5S, and Flow/Pull, to optimize shop performance.
  • Identify and eliminate waste using lean tools such as value stream mapping, kaizen events, and problem-solving frameworks.
  • Implement visual management systems to track SQDC metrics, enabling real-time problem-solving and decision-making at genba.
  • Mentor and develop shop floor teams, fostering a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and constructive development.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes align with customer needs, delivering high-quality products on time while reducing costs.
  • Drive discipline and rigor to sustain improvements, ensuring long-term operational success.
