About The Position

GE Aerospace is seeking a dynamic, and results driven FLIGHT DECK Specialist to deploy GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating model, FLIGHT DECK, and ensure alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) priorities. The FLIGHT DECK Specialist will coach teams, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to deliver exceptional value to our customers. In addition, the FLIGHT DECK Specialist will guide Operations teams through their FLIGHT DECK journey, providing ongoing teaching and coaching of lean principles, theories, practices and drive ownership and adoption through the Operations team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • At least an additional 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Training
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Coach and deploy FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including Standard Work, Daily & Visual Management, Value Stream Management, Operating Cadences, Action Planning, Problem Solving, 5S, and Flow/Pull, to optimize shop performance.
  • Identify and eliminate waste using lean tools such as value stream mapping, kaizen events, and problem-solving frameworks.
  • Implement visual management systems to track SQDC metrics, enabling real-time problem-solving and decision-making at genba.
  • Mentor and develop shop floor teams, fostering a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and constructive development.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes align with customer needs, delivering high-quality products on time while reducing costs.
  • Drive discipline and rigor to sustain improvements, ensuring long-term operational success.
