About The Position

This job is responsible for driving business development and sales activities for the Credit Card business. Key responsibilities include directly or indirectly managing a sales team, developing and implementing sales goals for smaller, mid-sized accounts and/or portfolios, contributing to new product development and aiding in corporate development or portfolio acquisition activities as needed. Job expectations include developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and negotiating and closing sales to drive business with existing clients and prospects. This role will engage co-brand partner employees to educate, inform, and support co-brand credit card acquisition efforts. This role requires significant travel (approximately 75%) to airport locations and direct engagement with flight attendants who promote and offer the co-brand credit card inflight. Candidates must demonstrate experience leading, coaching, and influencing customer service and sales-oriented teams to increase customer engagement, improve sales effectiveness, and achieve acquisition goals. Success in this role requires strong presentation and relationship-building skills, the ability to influence frontline employees, and a proven track record of driving results through training, communication, and performance-focused engagement. Requirements

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence sales teams across multiple groups and geographies.
  • 5+ years of sales, business development, account management, field leadership, training, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading through influence rather than direct reporting relationships.
  • Experience coaching and developing sales professionals or customer-facing employees to achieve performance goals.
  • Proven ability to analyze sales performance data and develop action plans to improve results.
  • Experience presenting to large audiences, leadership teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-management skills with the ability to build credibility across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

  • Understanding of credit card acquisition economics, customer lifecycle management, and channel performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and executes on business development opportunities to grow card sales program and portfolio, including proactive prospecting of potential clients
  • Provides input into broader Business Development or Sales strategy to drive growth of card program portfolio
  • Develops robust sales proposals to win new business, including timely follow through and engagement to grow relationships
  • Negotiates sales terms and contracts for card program portfolio with prospects
  • Establishes sales goals and drives to deliver on shared goals through direct or indirect management of a team
  • Provides input into enhancement opportunities for Credit Card business
  • Extensive travel will be required (75%)
  • Experience managing customer contact or sales teams where communication, customer contact and customer sales engagement play a significant role
  • Partner with airline leadership, inflight management, and other key stakeholders to drive engagement and performance of the co-brand credit card program.
  • Deliver sales training, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback to frontline employees to improve customer engagement and card acquisition results.
  • Conduct regular field visits and onboard observations to identify opportunities, reinforce best practices, and recognize top performance.
  • Analyze sales results, trends, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute incentive, recognition, and engagement strategies that motivate frontline teams and support program growth.
  • Serve as a liaison between airline partners, marketing, operations, and product teams to support program initiatives and resolve issues.
  • Support the implementation of new products, campaigns, and promotional initiatives while ensuring successful adoption within the field.
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory, partner, and company requirements.
