Flight and Ambulance Charter Service Coordinator
About The Position
The Intermountain Health Global Air Ambulance Coordinator manages the end-to-end coordination of domestic and international critical care medical transport missions. Maintain regulatory compliance, documentation, and real-time updates while delivering excellent customer service in high-pressure, high-stakes transport. This role works directly with industry partners, hospitals, pilots, aviation administration, system administration and medical flight crews to deliver safe, regulatory compliance, and exceptional transport coordination. The coordinator owns each mission from initial intake and quoting through execution and follow-up, ensuring seamless communication, operational accuracy, and an exceptional safety.
Requirements
- Three (3)+ years of experience in aviation or healthcare operations, charter coordination, dispatch, or operational control
- Working knowledge of aviation processes and terminology
- Strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with standard computer systems and ability to learn internal platforms
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations
Nice To Haves
- Experience in private aviation charter coordination or air ambulance operations
- International trip planning experience (permits, customs, and global logistics)
- Knowledge of healthcare or medical transport workflows
- Understanding of aviation or healthcare processes
