About The Position

The Boeing Company (BCA) is seeking a Flight Analyst to join the 787 Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Delivery Center Operations Team. This position will provide critical production support to the Delivery Center, focusing on improving production efficiency, safety, and optimizing product quality. The role involves ensuring aircraft systems meet performance standards, assisting with test procedures, performing in-flight tests, diagnosing and resolving problems during flight tests, analyzing system failures, developing training, and providing technical consultation to airline customers. The selected candidate will work under minimal direction and will be required to work onsite in North Charleston, SC, with some occasional travel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and fabrication
  • 3+ years of experience with 787 systems to include diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving technical or operational problems/procedures
  • 3+ years of experience in advising and influencing others to meet quality and safety requirements
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of general knowledge of flight and flight crew operations publication standards (Operations Manual Specifications) including software and the process for inputting, storing, searching, and modifying aircraft system information and aircraft configuration management
  • Airframe and Powerplant License
  • 3+ years of Field Operations and Customer interaction experience
  • 3+ years of experience presenting resolution concerns to Senior Leadership and Customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and adaptability
  • Works under minimal direction

Responsibilities

  • Ensures avionics, electrical, hydraulic and structural aircraft systems meet performance standards
  • Assists with the definition, development, implementation and improvement of test procedures
  • Performs in-flight tests that measure integrated systems compliance with design, customer and federal regulatory requirements
  • Diagnoses, documents and resolves problems during flight tests; assists with performs in-flight repairs and configuration changes
  • Analyzes causes of system failures and works with engineering to resolve problems
  • Develops and delivers training on new systems, test and operational procedures
  • Provides airline customers with immediate technical consultation on the product features, reliability issues and problem resolution
  • Performs tests to diagnose and resolve aircraft system problems to assist with aircraft acceptance
  • Works under minimal direction
