About The Position

The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for manufacturing printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. The role operates the press to produce products to customer specifications while maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and supporting press efficiency. It also involves preparing the press for production, completing quality checks and equipment maintenance, and accurately recording material usage and time.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of printing press operator experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

Follow all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Report safety concerns or issues to the immediate supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
Complete press make-ready according to Job Ticket and Product Specification documents, ensuring the correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
Complete required product-specification, visual, functional, and press-side quality checks.
Operate the press to produce products according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
Maintain consistent quality throughout production, including checking copy, color, registration, ink adhesion, and other quality requirements.
Complete procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements required by the BRC standard.
Complete press make-readies efficiently.
Perform required equipment maintenance duties.
Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
Accurately and promptly enter material usage and time information into the GlobeTek system.
