About The Position

The Flexographic Press Operator will be responsible for setting up and running a narrow web Flexographic Printing Press up to 12 colors according to label production orders and press procedures. This role involves monitoring print quality, maintaining registration and die-cut depth, and adjusting and maintaining press components. The operator will also set up and operate press accessories and perform routine cleaning and lubrication of moving parts.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience setting up and running a Flexographic Printing Press required (depends on level).
Ability to read and understand work instructions, job specifications and label artwork proof is required.
Good communication skills, both written and oral, as well as basic computer skills.
Ability to stand with occasional walking and lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up and run a narrow web Flexographic Printing Press up to 12 colors according to label production orders and press procedures.
Monitor print quality throughout the production run.
Maintain registration and proper die-cut depth to ensure label quality through the run.
Adjust and maintain all press components, for example, web tension, splice detector, web guide, press counter, slitting blades, etc.
Set up and operate press accessories such as a fan-folder, sheeting conveyor or an automatic turret rewinder.
Clean, inspect, and lubricate moving parts as needed.
