About The Position
Smyth is hiring a skilled Flexographic Press Operator to join our growing team at our facility centrally located in the Twin Cities. If you have printing experience and strong mechanical aptitude, this is a great opportunity to work a compressed 3-day schedule while producing high-quality labels and packaging. Joining Smyth with experience that includes cold foil, hot stamp dies, rotary screens, and/or tactile varnishes AND you can deliver consistent quality throughput, your overall compensation would reflect those experiences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- 4+ years of printing or press operation experience
Nice To Haves
- Flexographic printing experience
- Experience with cold foil
- Experience with hot stamp dies
- Experience with rotary screens
- Experience with tactile varnishes
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or BRC quality systems
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a Comco flexographic press
- Produce high-quality labels while meeting production and quality standards
- Monitor and reduce material waste
- Ensure press is fully stocked and running efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
