About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Flexo Printing Machine Operator to join our team, specifically for the night shift. The operator will be responsible for running various printing machines, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This role involves preparing machinery, managing inks, conducting quality checks, performing routine maintenance, and documenting production data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of printing processes, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

Experience operating various types of printing machines.
Ability to prepare and mount printing plates and rollers.
Skill in mixing and matching inks.
Proficiency in using automatic inspection systems.
Ability to determine quantities required for print jobs.
Capability to align and configure machinery.
Experience inspecting production samples for quality.
Ability to conduct quality checks for print clarity, color accuracy, and defects.
Understanding of customer specifications for printed materials.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on printing machines.
Experience performing routine maintenance on printing machines.
Skill in drafting and submitting production reports.
Ability to maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control data.
Knowledge of GMP Requirements.
Adherence to Cardinal Safety Rules.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to follow all Safety rules.
Knowledge of HACCP and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
Willingness to assist in training.
Ability to report work-related incidents.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must maintain an attitude of safety awareness and responsibility.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of printing machines.
Prepare and mount printing plates and rollers.
Mix and match inks to achieve desired color specifications.
Use automatic inspection system.
Determine quantities required for print jobs.
Align and configure machinery.
Inspect random production samples to evaluate quality of printing.
Conduct regular quality checks on printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, and defects.
Ensure printed materials meet or exceed customer specifications.
Troubleshoot issues with printing machines and make basic repairs.
Perform routine maintenance on printing machines.
Draft and submit reports for daily production totals.
Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control data.
Maintain a clean area around printing machinery.
Register colors on printing and control of scrap material.
Follow instructions on GMP Requirements.
Follow Cardinal Safety Rules.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Keep and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Maintain a positive attitude always.
Follow all Safety rules.
Follow all HACCP and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
Assist in training coordinated by HR where participation is needed.
