About The Position
Knoxville Montessori School is hiring dependable, enthusiastic individuals for its substitute and classroom support team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This flexible, part-time opportunity offers substitute shifts accepted according to availability and hourly pay of $14.25–$18.25, based on qualifications and experience. Team members may work with students from age 2 through high school, depending on their interests and experience. The role helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment when classroom teachers or support team members are absent. Depending on the assignment, duties may include assisting with classroom activities, supervising students indoors or outdoors, supporting daily routines, and working alongside experienced educators. Montessori experience is welcome but not required; the school values people who are willing to learn, take initiative, and treat children with kindness and respect.
Requirements
- Genuinely enjoy working with children.
- Be reliable, patient, and attentive.
- Be able to work collaboratively with a team.
- Be aware of surroundings and prioritize student safety.
- Be comfortable adapting to different classrooms and age groups.
- Be at least 18 years old.
