Flex Veterinary Technician
About The Position
Scout Veterinary Urgent Care is looking for a Flex Veterinary Technician to support their teams across multiple locations. This role is designed for individuals who are clinically confident, adaptable, and motivated to help both patients and teammates wherever they are needed. The schedule is provided a month in advance, ensuring you know your working days, but your location may vary from shift to shift. The work environment is fast-paced urgent care, emphasizing teamwork and communication. The technician will support patient flow and deliver high-quality care to pets and their owners.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel between locations
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting
- Strong technical skills and comfort in urgent or emergent cases
- Calm, detail-oriented, and collaborative under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- CVT licensure and emergency/urgent care experience
Responsibilities
- Perform technical procedures including radiology, venipuncture, catheter placement, sedation monitoring, and in-house lab work
- Assist with triage, patient stabilization, and urgent care treatments
- Administer medications under veterinarian supervision
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners, including discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and support digital documentation
- Jump in where needed to support team flow across locations
