About The Position

PetVet Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to support its surgical team. This role is for a skilled and dedicated Surgery Technician to join a growing, multi-doctor, fast-paced, full-service small animal hospital. The hospital prioritizes teamwork, positivity, and high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a surgical setting and is passionate about delivering excellent care. Veterinary Technicians enjoy a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, only one weekend day required, a sign-on bonus for licensed technicians, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and supportive surgical team. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of surgery experience required
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
  • Passion for patient care and safety
  • Flexibility and dependability, with availability for evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-anesthetic protocols and catheter placement
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals throughout surgical procedures
  • Assist veterinarians during surgery and dental procedures
  • Provide post-operative care and ensure smooth recovery for patients
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure surgical suite readiness
  • Accurately document treatments and communicate with the care team
