About The Position
This position is for a Flex Team Associate working a shift from 10:45 AM to 7:00 PM. The role involves a variety of tasks related to order fulfillment, inventory management, merchandise processing, and customer service. The associate will be responsible for pulling orders, stocking merchandise, unloading trucks, scanning inventory, preparing items for restocking, and handling returned merchandise. Additionally, the role may include furniture repair, processing parts orders, loading customer vehicles, unboxing items, inspecting furniture for defects, staging items for delivery, and processing re-picks. Maintaining a clean work environment by removing trash is also a key responsibility. The associate will interact with internal and external customers and perform other duties as directed by management.
Requirements
- Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs
- Must be able to pass lift truck licensing test (written and physical)
- Must weigh less than 300 lbs (manufacturer requirement)
- Tugger and scissor lift Certification
- Knowledge of safe operation of a delivery box truck
- Knowledge of state and local motor vehicle safety laws
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Positive attitude when working with customers
- Knowledge of merchandise handling procedures
- Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Tugger and scissor lift operation
Responsibilities
- Pulling orders and stocking inbound merchandise
- Unloading trucks and scanning merchandise into inventory
- Wrapping items for restock and dispositioning returned merchandise
- Performing furniture repair and entering/processing parts orders
- Loading customer vehicles and unboxing items with proper technique
- Inspecting furniture for damage, functionality, defects, and imperfections
- Staging items for delivery contractors and removing items from delivery zones using a scan gun
- Processing re-picks for contractor loadout
- Removing trash from work areas and external property
- Receiving and processing transfers
- Checking daily closing assignments
- Using excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customers
- Performing other duties as directed by management
