About The Position

Sunstates Security is currently hiring for Flex Security Officers in the Orlando area to include West Orlando, Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista areas of Florida. This position offers a pay range of $20.00-$25.00/hr, with weekly pay. Pay is contingent on location of site. Must have open availability and be able to work ALL shifts (1st, 2nd, & 3rd). The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel. The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex: You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment. Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need. You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs. Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.

Requirements

• Active Florida Class D Security License
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have clean MVR, No moving violations in the past 3 years
• Must have dependable transportation
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Report writing skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Florida D License

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of security experience preferred
