Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to random drug testing.
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
  • Must be able to deal with various levels of personality traits and maintain self-control.
  • Must conduct oneself in a professional and efficient manner during interaction with people.
  • Must prepare written statements and investigations in a logical and grammar correct manner.
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends, nights and holidays; and/or work extended hours if required.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to work with others.
  • Must possess a positive attitude.
  • Must provide excellent customer service.
  • Must adhere to all company service and operating standards.
  • Must be honest and Trustworthy.
  • The chosen candidate would work Full-Time, Saturday and Sunday, on-call basis and be willing to accept not having a set schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes.
  • This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
  • While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
  • Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
  • Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule.
  • Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
  • If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.

Responsibilities

  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.
  • Read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
  • Provide trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes.
  • Work shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes.
  • Be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need.
  • Accept shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
  • Work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet.
  • Communicate unavailability on upcoming dates or times with supervisor.
  • Work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called for short-notice call-ins.
