About The Position

Sunstates Security is seeking to hire Flex Security Officers in the Nashville, TN area. This role is crucial for ensuring continuous, uninterrupted service to clients by covering shifts due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other reasons. Flex Officers will be trained at various posts and facilities, with schedules that vary based on operational needs. This position offers a pay rate of $19.25/hr with weekly pay and eligibility for a 401(k) with employer match for those working 20 hours a week, having completed six months of service, and working at least 500 hours per year.

Requirements

  • TN Security License preferred but not required.
  • Security experience preferred.
  • Must be able to cross train between LaVergne and Nashville locations.
  • Exceptional customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must be computer literate and have basic computer skills.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Access control in and out of the facility.
  • Checking truck loads and volume daily.
  • Report writing (daily activity, incident, visitor logs, maintenance items, etc.).
  • Checking in visitors, ensure policies are followed, foot patrols, access control.
  • Communicating site-specific concerns or issues to the site supervisor and client.
  • Utilize various logs to document specific truck related items.
  • Ensure the security of the area, access and key control, making key cards.
  • Ensuring rules and regulations are followed, following proper reporting procedures.
  • Maintain good working relationship with clients.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
