About The Position

Securitas is hiring a Flex Security Officer to provide security coverage at multiple client sites in the Greater Burlington, Vermont area. Rather than working at one home site, the officer joins an adaptable team that fills openings at various locations and reports directly to the Field Operations Supervisor. The role provides full-time hours and exposure to multiple sites and environments.

Schedules change week to week based on coverage needs. Officers are assigned according to availability: the day team covers first- or second-shift openings, while the night team covers overnight shifts. Shifts are typically eight hours, but may be four, six, ten, or twelve hours. Pay is $24.00 per hour.

The role is suited to dependable, professional, adaptable people who are ready to learn and interested in building a security career. Officers work closely with clients and client staff. Applicants must be able to travel to multiple client sites in the Greater Burlington area, pass an onboarding check, and obtain a Vermont Guard Card; Securitas will assist with the application after an offer is accepted.

Requirements

• Dependable, professional, adaptable, and ready to learn.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced or changing environments.
• Flexible availability for first and second shifts and/or third shift.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma.
• At least 18 years old.
• Able to travel to and work at multiple client sites in the Greater Burlington area.
• Able to pass an onboarding check and obtain a Vermont Guard Card; the employer assists with the application after an offer is accepted.
