In this role, the officer is a key part of protecting people, property, and peace of mind, preventing loss, theft, and trespassing, and responding effectively to emergencies to create safer communities and assist those in need. Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, detecting unauthorized activities, maintaining environmental awareness, and ensuring the safety of employees and visitors. The role requires good physical shape, high attention to detail, and the ability to respond to emergency situations to prevent theft, damage, or injury.

Requirements

Dependable, observant individuals who take pride in their work and maintain a professional presence
Valid BSIS Guard Card
Valid California Driver's License with a 3 year minimum clean driving record
A minimum of 1 year experience working in the security field
Must to be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to read, write, understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions
Ability to write and understand English
Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks
Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays and overtime if needed
Reliable transportation
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to pass a drug test and background check
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Be in good physical shape
High attention to detail

Responsibilities

Possess and maintain a valid State Guard Card
Conduct foot or vehicle patrols alone or with a partner
Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in site Post Orders / SOP
Utilize a smartphone or similar device to maintain a Daily Activity Report and create incident and Facility Maintenance Reports
Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance and professional grooming
Maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues and the public
Respond to emergency calls, including medical, fire and damage to property
Patrol facilities and detect unauthorized activities
Maintain an awareness of the environment and ensure the safety of employees and visitors
Respond to emergency situations and emergency calls
Prevent theft, damage, or injury in the organization
