About The Position

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking candidates for the position of Unarmed Security Officer (USO). As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. You will detect and prevent any suspicious activity, observe and report incidents, and provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour, located in Los Angeles County, California. Requirements

• Must have 1 year security experience within the last 3 years with an active Guard Card.
• Must have a clean background and driving record.
• Must have High School diploma or GED or Official Transcripts.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
