About The Position

New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources company, is currently seeking a Fleet Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all company vehicles which includes but is not limited to cars, light duty trucks, medium duty trucks, CNG vehicles, trailers, compressors, Vermeer LM42, Kubota & Allmand backhoes, portable light towers, mud hogs, pneumatic tools and hydraulics under the direction of the Lead Fleet Technician. Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification A1 is required

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certifications A8, T2, F1 and T6 are preferred
• AC certification
• Degree or diploma from an accredited Fleet Technician program or school and/or 2 years of experience as a fleet technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all company vehicles including cars, light duty trucks, medium duty trucks, CNG vehicles, trailers, compressors, Vermeer LM42, Kubota & Allmand backhoes, portable light towers, mud hogs, pneumatic tools and hydraulics.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot repairs.
• Work under the direction of the Lead Fleet Technician.
