This position is responsible for diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts. The role involves completing thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance using an online Enterprise Asset Management system. The technician will diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems, often utilizing diagnostic technology and software, and complete complex mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision. Adherence to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, is crucial, ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct tool usage, PPE, and best safety practices. This role may require driving company, Reyes Fleet Management, and customer vehicles, which is regulated by the DOT and necessitates maintaining a current driver qualification file. This includes annual motor vehicle records checks, DOT physicals, and safety performance history requests. CDL holders will undergo a DOT Drug Screening and FMSCA Clearinghouse review. Some travel may be required, and other projects or duties may be assigned.
