About The Position
The Fleet Services Supervisor is a management role at Hertz that provides leadership and administrative support to maintenance functions at a Fleet Services location. The supervisor oversees vehicle service maintenance during an assigned shift and manages the maintenance department employees. The role supports the Manager Fleet Services in local operations and business metrics, and is responsible for the maintenance team within the location under the Manager Fleet Services’ authority. The position does not include additional responsibilities elsewhere in Hertz.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance environment, preferably as a mechanic.
- Knowledge of rental car procedures and location operations.
- General understanding of maintenance practices; preventative and warranty maintenance knowledge preferred.
- Ability to solve problems independently and handle complex problem-solving.
- Excellent multitasking and verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy and strong keyboarding skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a mechanic.

Responsibilities
- Oversee location operations during the assigned shift and support the Manager Fleet Services in running local operations and achieving business metrics.
- Communicate daily tasks to staff to meet service metrics and goals.
- Maintain and process invoices, ensure proper parts are ordered, and keep parts in inventory for necessary repairs.
- Coordinate schedules for service maintenance on vehicles at the location as needed.
- Manage, develop, and motivate maintenance department staff.
