About The Position

The Fleet Services Supervisor is a management role at Hertz that provides leadership and administrative support to maintenance functions. The supervisor oversees service maintenance for vehicles at the location during an assigned shift and manages the maintenance department employees. The position supports the Manager Fleet Services in local operations and business metrics, and is responsible for the entire maintenance team at the location. The role works under the authority of the Manager Fleet Services and does not take on additional responsibilities within Hertz.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance environment; mechanic experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of rental car procedures and location operations.
• General understanding of maintenance practices; preventive maintenance and warranty knowledge are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve problems independently.
• Excellent multitasking and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage, develop, and motivate staff.
• Computer literacy and strong keyboarding skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and warranty practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to all maintenance functions.
• Oversee location operations during the assigned shift and support the Manager Fleet Services in running local operations and achieving business metrics.
• Communicate daily tasks to staff to meet service metrics and goals.
• Maintain and process invoices, and ensure proper parts are ordered and kept in inventory for necessary repairs.
• Coordinate schedules for service maintenance on vehicles at the location as needed.
• Manage, develop, and motivate maintenance department staff.
