The Fleet Services Assistant Director supports the leadership and management of the County’s Fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, parts, fueling systems, and related support services to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. Working closely with the Fleet Services Director, this role supports employees, strengthens service delivery, improves processes, and helps ensure efficient day-to-day operations across multiple departments. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, building strong working relationships, supporting teams, and improving systems and operations. The work is fast-paced, hands-on, and highly collaborative, with priorities that can shift quickly based on operational needs. Safety is a strong part of the culture, both in shop and field environments, and success in this role comes from working closely with employees, departments, vendors, and partner agencies to provide responsive and dependable fleet services. The typical scheduler for this position is in-person, Monday - Friday. In the office, shop, or fuel sites.
