About The Position

The Fleet Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing automotive vehicles to ensure the smooth operation of the ground transport department. This role requires automotive/mechanical knowledge and skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. The technician will perform various maintenance tasks, adhere to hospital driving policies, and participate in mandatory training.

Requirements

  • Completion of High School or GED.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets the requirements set forth by the hospital driving policy.
  • Automotive/mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Manual dexterity to work on automotive vehicles.
  • Ability to move about freely.
  • Ability to properly lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on automotive vehicles.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the ground transport department.
  • Adhere to hospital driving policies and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
  • Participate in yearly driving training and mandatory hospital and department specific training.
  • Deliver services to physicians, patients, and fellow employees with compassion and in a responsive, courteous, and concerned manner.
