Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Basic computer/tablet skills for maintenance records
DOT inspection certification or willingness to obtain

Nice To Haves

Diesel truck and trailer repair experience
Small engine repair experience
Welding or fabrication skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, tire, and hydraulic issues
Troubleshoot diesel and gas-powered equipment problems
Service and repair small engine equipment
Complete DOT inspections and maintain compliance
Document repairs and communicate equipment status
Maintain an organized shop and manage parts inventory
Coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors when needed
