About The Position

TriCare Medical Transportation is South Jersey’s premier medical transportation company. We are a large-scale 24/7 operation with over 400 employees and 130 vehicles, providing service from our headquarters in Pleasantville, NJ and two satellite locations in Vineland and Cherry Hill. This full-time Fleet Mechanic position is based in our Vineland location and operates on a 12pm - 8pm shift.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience with Ford E Series, Ford Transit, Dodge Caravans.
Must have own tools
Driver License
Minimum 5 years of documented mechanic experience on light, medium, and heavy equipment
Satisfactory driving history / Clean driving record.
Background check.
Negative Drug Test required
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Some holidays may be required.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification preferred

Responsibilities

Diagnoses and repairs on our fleet of vehicles including but not limited to: General and preventative maintenance, Brakes, drivability, emissions, steering and suspension.
Electrical troubleshooting and problem solving.
Transmission removal and replacement.
Engine tear down and/or removal and replacement when necessary.
Inspecting vehicles and identifying signs of wear and parts that require service or replacement.
Repair or schedule necessary repairs with the Fleet Manager.
Log all repairs/ service in our work order system.
Maintain shop cleanliness and inventory of supplies.
Work collaboratively with our Fleet Manager as well as our Operation Managers to ensure safe transportation for our patients as well as our drivers.
