About The Position

This position is responsible for servicing and repairing industrial mobile equipment. The role involves working with various types of fork-trucks (electric, gas, LLP, diesel), man lifts, cranes, stationary generators, and more. Key responsibilities include CMMS data input, performing diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on equipment, maintaining uptime requirements, part ordering, and adhering to shop safety, cleanliness, and company quality standards. The position also requires reporting and the mechanic must provide their own tools.

  • Educational background from technical school or general college
  • Extensive verifiable forklift maintenance experience required
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license

  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems including a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must understand working in a Union Environment and requirements surrounding that
