About The Position

Vehicare Fleet Solutions, a Clarke Power Services company, is a nationwide fleet management provider offering maintenance solutions for commercial fleets. Vehicare is seeking a safety-minded Fleet Service Technician Level B for its Oklahoma City shop. The technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a fleet of light- to heavy-duty vehicles, handling intermediate to advanced mechanical repairs, routine diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. The shop has four bays and services vehicles ranging from light to heavy duty. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential. Pay is up to $28 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a heavy- or light-duty commercial vehicle or diesel fleet technician.
• Working knowledge of air brake systems, electrical circuits, commercial chassis components, commercial trailers, and liftgates.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass DOT physical requirements.
• Dependability, teamwork, strong communication skills, and an organized approach to daily workflows.
• Ability to read and write reports in English.
• Ability to regularly lift 50–70 pounds unassisted; regularly use hands to touch, handle, and feel; push, pull, hold, and reach above and below the shoulders for extended periods; walk, sit, squat, and stand for extended periods; climb stairs using three points of contact; kneel, bend, and work in tight quarters.

Nice To Haves

• Active progress toward ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) is highly preferred.
• Current DOT Inspector certification is preferred; training to obtain it will be provided.
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with light-duty passenger vehicles or forklift/MHE systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on medium- to heavy-duty commercial vehicles and diesel engines.
• Perform light-duty vehicle and material handling equipment (MHE) maintenance as required by site fleet configurations.
• Use diagnostic software such as Cummins Insite, Cojali Jaltest, Noregon, and Diesel Laptops to read data, clear faults, run regens, review data streams and fault history, and clear basic trouble codes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety inspections to ensure fleet assets comply with state and federal regulations.
• Assist the site manager with parts inventory management and charge out parts using QR codes through the internal maintenance management system.
• Communicate directly with partner clients about vehicle repair needs and status updates.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop in compliance with OSHA standards and Vehicare safety protocols.
