About The Position

Leesel Transportation Corp. is seeking a Fleet Manager responsible for leading a team of fleet administrators and inspectors to ensure the fleet operates within regulations and guidelines. This role involves creating work schedules, managing the budget for vehicle repairs and replacements, and ensuring technicians have the necessary supplies for vehicle maintenance. Leesel Transportation is a Special and Regular Education Transportation provider in the New York City area, headquartered in The Bronx, serving the NYC Department of Education and other NYC pre-K and private school programs.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of progressive fleet management experience.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Purchase vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet.
• Schedule regular maintenance on all vehicles.
• Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed.
• Manage vehicle licensure and registration.
• Ensure all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training.
• Monitor Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices.
• Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress.
• Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
