About The Position

Valicor Environmental Services is looking for a Fleet Manager at our St. Louis facility. This role involves directing and dispatching fleet activities, coordinating with the fleet maintenance program, and planning driver routes. The Fleet Manager will also be responsible for making adjustments to schedules and routes, serving as the first-line of communication for transportation issues, and ensuring drivers are trained on safety policies. The successful candidate must pass a pre-screening process including a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in fleet transportation/logistics at a supervisor level or above
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively multi-task, while working in high-stress situations
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

Direct and dispatch fleet activities, including planning and scheduling driver routes
Coordinate and interact with fleet maintenance program for St. Louis facility
Conduct weekly planning and coordination to develop route plans for the upcoming week, to include coordination with internal and external parties
Make adjustments to driver schedules and routes based on capacity to optimize runs
Utilize creativity and quick thinking to make decisions on last minute scheduling
Serve as first-line of communication for all transportation related issues
Work independently to resolve issues and communicate accordingly when additional input is needed
Provide exceptional, timely customer service at all times to internal and external customers with respect to planning, scheduling, troubleshooting and unexpected issues
Remain current on DOT requirements, and other regulations as needed
Responsible for ensuring drivers are properly trained on Company safety policies and procedures
