Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • 2+ year of related experience and/or training in a mechanical setting, or an equivalent combination of education and specific work experience
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting/moving items up to 125 pounds and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • You must have a good driving record and be able to pass an MVR.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a semi-trailer maintenance technician highly preferred
  • You possess thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • You have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • You possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • You possess good problem-solving skills.
  • You have the ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • You have the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations.
  • You have the ability to fabricate and fix mechanical parts.
  • You possess knowledge of industrial conveyor controls and related I/Os.
  • You possess knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PMs (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-phase electrical work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
  • Maintain, and provide routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to fleet trailing equipment.
  • Work with Safety department leadership to understand and ensure that all safety programs and procedures are followed.
  • May be required to use personal vehicle or Company vehicle to conduct business for the company.
  • Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
