About The Position

The Fleet Maintenance Foreman is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. You’ll lead the activities of the fleet maintenance department to ensure that fleet and heavy equipment is available, dependable and safe at all times and you’ll oversee the fleet preventive maintenance (PM) program. Reporting to our Fleet Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead a team of Fleet Maintenance Mechanics. You’ll work with commercial drivers, forklift drivers, dispatch, and plant leadership to ensure on schedule, safe delivery of Jensen products. A highlight of your day-to-day will include: Leading the activities of the fleet maintenance employees. Troubleshooting employee and fleet maintenance problems and recommending solutions. Assisting drivers with vehicle issues. Engaging in interactive communication. Training employees in the operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitoring comprehension and re-training as necessary. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, returning all tools after use to proper storage location, and performing routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, operating, and maintaining diesel trucks, forklifts, and moving equipment. Examining and inspecting work progress to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met. Maintaining accurate records of all inspections and maintenance of equipment and recording information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports. Advising supervisor of equipment needing attention.

Requirements

  • Experience with diesel engines, brake systems and hydraulics.
  • Excellent with basic tools to perform routine maintenance.
  • Familiar with DOT requirements.
  • Safety conscious.
