About The Position

US FOODS® is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs, and a continuous improvement focus. We are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to assist the Fleet Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Fleet Maintenance Shop. This position is responsible for truck and trailer parts inventory control, researching inventory discrepancies, ordering and receiving parts, answering phone calls, and performing general office and recordkeeping duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Knowledge of Class 8 tractor/trailer repair preferred.
Fleet maintenance experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Hands-on approach to problem solving.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Fleet Manager with daily Fleet Maintenance operations.
Maintain truck and trailer parts inventory and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Order, receive, and track parts inventory.
Coordinate parts deliveries and vendor communications.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist internal and external customers.
Maintain fleet maintenance records, filing systems, and related documentation.
Support fleet maintenance reporting and administrative functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
