About The Position

The purpose of the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is to oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair activities for the company's fleet of equipment. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the fleet is well-maintained, safe, and operates efficiently.

Requirements

• High level of organizational skills
• Working knowledge and prior background in heavy equipment maintenance, including tractors, knuckle boom loaders, hydraulics, or related experience.
• Previous transportation experience
• Proficient with TMS systems, maintenance software, Excel and other software programs
• Organized, self-starter with the ability to communicate across department lines.

• Secondary education preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage the productivity and uptime of a specialized fleet of equipment including scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Schedule maintenance and repairs for equipment
• Accurate and up to date asset tracking
• Communicate with drivers, customers and third party maintenance facilities
• Cost control
• Equipment relocation
• Coordination with remote dispatch teams
• Vendor negotiations
