This entry-level apprenticeship is for an individual interested in learning equipment maintenance, general repairs, and basic mechanical skills in a warehouse and fleet environment. No previous mechanical experience is required; the company is willing to train a dependable candidate with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. The apprentice works alongside experienced mechanics to help maintain warehouse equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, diesel trucks, trailers, and other company equipment. The role supports safe, efficient warehouse and fleet operations and may include occasional travel to other company locations, training, fleet operations, or special projects. The position is primarily performed in a fully equipped mechanic shop, with work also taking place in warehouse environments and outdoors in all weather conditions. The job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and walking on concrete floors around moving equipment and vehicles; occasional climbing of stairs or stepping onto and off equipment; and the ability to lift and perform other physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation. PPE may be required depending on the task and warehouse area. A clean, valid driver’s license and maintenance of a DOT Medical Certificate are required. Candidates willing to obtain a Class A CDL are encouraged to apply, and in-house CDL training is provided. Weekend work may be required during peak operational months.
