About The Position

The Erb Group is one of North America’s largest privately-owned refrigerated transportation providers, specializing in the timely, protected distribution of temperature-controlled perishable goods across Canada and the U.S. This family-owned business has been in the industry for over 65 years and is recognized as a safety industry leader. The 310T Truck Mechanic is responsible for truck and equipment repairs or service as required by the Leadhand, Foreman, or Shop Manager. The shift is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

Requirements

  • 310T Truck and Coach License. Proof of license will be required.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Candidates must be willing to work safely and make safety a priority above all else adhere to safety policies and regulations and engage in best practice of safety initiatives.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other software such as TMT.
  • Aptitude for truck maintenance and repair.
  • Positive attitude with proven people skills.
  • Honest, diplomatic and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Document all work completed, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Fill out inspection sheets as required, adhering to company standards and safety guidelines.
  • Track and log parts usage daily, ensuring proper inventory control and reporting any discrepancies.
  • When instructed, perform road tests to verify the functionality and safety of repaired vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
  • Assist senior mechanics in troubleshooting mechanical issues, gaining hands-on experience with a wide variety of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • All other duties as required.
