Requirements

  • 4+ years' in Operations and/or Planning and/or Customer Accounts in the transportation industry required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Must be able to lead, develop and coach others.
  • Must be able to effectively transfer knowledge to others.
  • Must be able to understand financial reports.
  • Must be able to effectively utilize available technologies (Micromap, Tableau, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Leader P/L for assigned fleet. Continuously develop and coach assigned Driver Leaders and provide support to Terminal Leader.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Driver Leaders and their fleets.
  • Ensure all Drivers are fully utilized and Driver Leaders are collaborating with all appropriate departments (Planning, Shop, etc.) to maximize fleet production and driver satisfaction.
  • Handle escalated driver relations and compliance issues as needed.
  • Achieve safety objectives through continuous improvement of KPI's that impact terminal incident results.
  • Ensure Terminal is well maintained.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
