About The Position

FairWind is seeking a highly organized and hands-on Fleet & Equipment Coordinator to support our North American field operations from our Abilene, TX warehouse. This role is critical to ensuring technicians, vehicles, tools, and equipment are deployment-ready and fully supported across ongoing wind energy projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, enjoys balancing administrative coordination with hands-on warehouse responsibilities, and can manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. This position works closely with Operations, Safety, HR, Finance, vendors, and field leadership to keep fleet and equipment operations running efficiently.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in fleet coordination, warehouse operations, logistics, or related operational support roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple software systems and spreadsheets
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fleet management platforms (Fleetio or similar)
  • Familiarity with telematics, inventory systems, or fuel card programs
  • Experience in renewable energy, construction, utilities, or field services
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance processes

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vehicle on-rent/off-rent activities with fleet vendors
  • Support technician onboarding and offboarding vehicle assignments
  • Track vehicle statuses, maintenance, and trade activity
  • Manage spare fleet readiness and redeployment logistics
  • Conduct return inspections and document vehicle condition
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technician vehicle issues
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repair scheduling
  • Monitor preventive maintenance compliance and follow up as needed
  • Assist technicians with Fleetio and related operational systems
  • Receive, organize, and track tools, PPE, and equipment inventory
  • Build and prepare technician toolkits for deployment
  • Fulfill field equipment requests and coordinate shipments
  • Track calibration schedules for specialized tools
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records across fleet and operational systems
  • Support fuel card administration and telematics tracking
  • Review fleet-related invoices for accuracy
  • Assist with operational reporting and inventory reconciliation
  • Support incident documentation and claims coordination as needed
