The Fleet Dispatcher is responsible for providing support to drivers during evening and/or weekend hours to ensure safe and timely load deliveries. This role involves answering calls, chats, and emails to assist drivers with various issues, including delays, service problems, payroll, and trailer needs. The dispatcher will fuel and route drivers while promoting safety, dispatching necessary resources, and resolving driver issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will monitor loads, proactively communicate changes to customers, resolve load targets to ensure on-time delivery, and communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and leadership. The position also requires responding to driver and terminal needs, assisting in emergencies, understanding company policies, and ensuring drivers can operate safely and earn effectively by managing PTAs, trailer solutions, BPMs, appointments, CDLs, and home time guidelines. The role also involves proactively assisting others in achieving organizational objectives.
