Provide drivers with necessary support during evening and/or weekend hours so that drivers can deliver loads safely and on time. This role involves answering incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with various issues including delays, service problems, trailers, and payroll. The dispatcher will fuel and route drivers while promoting safety, dispatch necessary resources for immediate issues, and resolve driver problems using critical thinking skills. They will monitor loads, resolve issues affecting delivery/pickup times, proactively inform customers of changes, and ensure on-time delivery. Effective communication with customers, operations, drivers, and leadership is essential. The role also includes understanding and supporting company policies, ensuring accurate PTAs, providing trailer solutions, planning BPMs and appointments, managing home time guidelines, and assisting drivers in earning potential. Proactive work to assist others in achieving organizational objectives is also expected.
