About The Position

Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, this position oversees daily yard operations by managing load and truck flow in accordance with the trucking schedule to ensure efficient and streamlined processes. Responsibilities include supporting logistics and transportation planning, and working collaboratively with production, transportation, and customer service teams to drive operational efficiency and service excellence. Requirements

  • Minimum three years’ experience in manufacturing logistics.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform essential duties.
  • Strong aptitude for organizing personal tasks and repetitive duties in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires strong math knowledge, strong clerical and basic computer knowledge skills.
  • Working knowledge of the operations of a 10-key adding machine, copier, printer and any other office equipment required to perform duties.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data and establish facts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Predictable and regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the concrete block, paver, and/or sack industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate truck drivers and facilitate dispatching of customer orders.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with suppliers including, but not limited to, contracted freight haulers and dealer yard dispatchers.
  • Assist the Production Analyst in facilitating cycle-counting of inventory.
  • Work closely with yard and customer service personnel.
  • Support customer service goals by ensuring shipments are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in physical semi-annual inventory counts, two weekends required a year.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned by company or its designated representatives.
  • Abides by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies; and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predictable and regular attendance is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
