About The Position

The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for coordinating fleet maintenance and repair in the assigned area, managing outside vendors, and maximizing fleet reliability and availability.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
  • Possess good verbal communication skills.
  • Good understand of vehicle mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of/or ability to learn; Fleet telematics systems and Fleet Information Systems. (Samara and Fleetio experience helpful)
  • Prior ambulance or emergency vehicle and equipment knowledge and understanding of various state requirements

  • Leadership experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Tracks, documents and ensures compliance with MMT’s Fleet Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality repairs and maintenance are performed.
  • Coordinates vehicle repairs and logistics with outside vendors to minimize cost and downtime.
  • Communicates with operations to ensure the operational needed fleet availability is maintained.
  • Coordinates and participates in delivery and pick up of vehicles for PM and repair.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports.
