About The Position
Under moderate supervision, assists the Fleet Manager with the schedule, repair, and maintenance of motor vehicles and equipment. This role involves inventory control, parts ordering, managing repair orders, setting up work schedules, and coordinating with suppliers and dispatchers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent PC skills required.
- Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Performs inventory control and parts ordering including record keeping activities.
- Parts receiving including checking parts, tagging with in-house parts numbering, and setting up parts at shop locations.
- Enters repair orders, researches and sets up road repair or outside repair including repair for on-road break downs.
- Sets up work schedule for the day and inputs, adds, modifies and maintains preventative maintenance schedule.
- Works with suppliers on costs for parts.
- Set-up moving of equipment between sites for repairs.
- Arrange for truck changes with dispatchers when trucks are out of service.
- Procures vehicles and performs property control activities.
