The Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions, and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling, and quarrying. This Fleet Analyst will be a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office in Elko, NV. The purpose of the Parts & Service Fleet Analyst role is to develop and maintain indicative lifecycle operating cost (LCC) models for new and existing fleet of Sandvik equipment within the USA region. The Parts & Service Fleet Analyst will work closely with the Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services and Service Contracts teams, as well as P&S Sales Representatives, to maintain a comprehensive asset register and up-to-date lifecycle cost model for each serial-specific piece of equipment for use by the broader USA region team. The LCC models underpin the development of comprehensive Maintenance Strategy Plans for equipment and are to be periodically reviewed for currency and with the following outputs: Service schedules and component lives, Budget operating costs matched to Maintenance Strategy Plans, Serial number specific Parts consumption forecasts, Indicative Maintenance Labor Resource Requirements, Indicative Operating Costs (POC). The role also provides input and recommendations to the Account teams to support Tender submissions, manages and facilitates feedback from active contracts to drive the continuous improvement and accuracy of Lifecycle models. The Parts & Service Fleet Analyst also provides sales and planning support as required to support active & potential contracts, with the following outputs: Operating cost and potential revenue summaries and predictions, Bundle and standalone deal input regarding parts costs and revenues, Other fleet and operating model information as required by end users. The role holds the fleet champion responsibilities and MDG Access for all USA fleet for SMR Parts & Services (All products excluding Mechanical cutting, Crushing & Screening equipment). The role is also the Sales area USA developer for Power BI on any custom local Power BI reports to support fleet or Parts availability and supply metrics or initiatives e.g. Model coverage of parts dashboards, automation of excessive time constraining data extracts.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant trade qualification or a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Direct Mining based Mechanical Trade, Project Management or Asset Management
  • 5+ years experience in Estimation or Project Management
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance planning and management systems (CMMS)
  • Data Analysis and reporting skills – Intermediate to Advanced
  • High level understanding of risk and risk management
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Advanced Power BI
  • Superior standard of interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of and experience with Sandvik, or competitor products including surface and underground drills, loaders and haul trucks
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.

  • Experience supporting tender submissions, asset agreement development, sales cases, cost estimates, revenue summaries, and customer-facing planning information.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, Service Contracts, Sales Area teams, Product Specialists, Technical Support, Parts Support, and Operational Readiness stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate fleet reporting integrity, identify discrepancies, work with process owners, and support continuous improvement of fleet data quality and lifecycle model accuracy.
  • Experience facilitating or participating in regional or global initiatives, change management activities, small projects, and process improvement efforts related to asset, component, or lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, training, and stakeholder support skills, with the ability to translate technical fleet and cost information into clear business insights

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Equipment tenders
  • Work closely with the Aftermarket Contracts Management Teams and Product Specialists to develop comprehensive maintenance strategy plans for Sandvik Equipment
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive list of equipment Life Cycle Cost models
  • Review the maintenance costs of equipment regularly with a view to continually improve cost efficiency & develop sound equipment ownership strategies
  • Establish critical spares lists and component lifecycle plans with relative maintenance milestones and age of equipment
  • Facilitate and participate in all Global initiatives / projects relating to assets of component life cycle management
  • Facilitate all USA region Asset Agreement Development as initiated and scoped by the local or global team
  • Document preparation and presentation
  • Develop and manage small projects
  • Actively engage and participate in change management processes
  • Check fleet reporting integrity and collaborate with process owners for reports on any discrepancies
  • Custom sales are related dashboards to support key performance drivers on fleet data
  • Support and training to USA P&S organization relating to Fleetapp, Fleet analytics and other supporting processes for fleet data (Auto POC tool, Component forecasting tool etc.)
