About The Position

The Fittings Specialty Parts/Assembly I is based in Pueblo, Colorado, works the first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The role is responsible for the quality and accurate production of specialty fittings and custom assembly parts. Duties include handling cured fittings, preparing and finishing products according to drawings, inspecting finished products, labeling and packaging them, maintaining work-in-process areas, and keeping accurate production records.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good math skills for accurate counting, calculations, and measurements, including radius, inside and outside diameter, and length.
Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
Ability to adapt to changes, manage multiple competing demands, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events calmly and logically.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Nice To Haves

Two years of previous shop experience.

Responsibilities

Confirm products against the schedule and locate the appropriate inventory.
Remove cured fittings from the oven and extract them from the mandrel.
Cut each fitting according to its respective drawing and finish the ends, adding tri-seals, O-rings, or other items when necessary.
Affix appropriate labels, pack finished products, and place them in the inventory location.
Perform final dimensional and visual inspections according to standards.
Maintain the work-in-process area for fittings being sent to the machine shop.
Keep accurate production records, including quantities finished, packaged, and scrapped.
Inspect products by verifying saw cuts, color, length, order quantity, and the presence of dry fibers, flaws, and variances.
Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
Perform other tasks appointed by management.
