About The Position

As a Fitter/Fabricator, you will assemble and fit structural, plate, and mechanical materials into a range of assemblies. You will work closely with the Shop Superintendent and other team members to support high-quality production. The role involves fitting structural forms such as frames, bridge parts, beams, and columns; interpreting blueprints and shop drawings; laying out and fitting detail parts accurately; and verifying fit-up accuracy before inspection.

Requirements

Extensive experience in fitting and fabricating.
High school diploma or GED, plus 12 months of training or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in reading shop drawings.
High motivation and ability to work independently.
Current welding and OSHA certifications.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fit structural forms, including frames, bridge parts, beams, and columns.
Read and interpret blueprints to plan fitting operations.
Lay out and fit detail parts accurately.
Verify the accuracy of fit-ups before inspection.
