About The Position

Responsible for performing GMAW tack welding, torch cutting, and layout operations to assemble steel components for final welding. Additionally, the Fitter Welder will conduct GMAW welding processes on production materials in compliance with the required specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.

  • Conduct GMAW welding processes on production materials in compliance with the required specifications.
  • Maintain required AWS certifications, including meeting or exceeding the 85% UT pass ratio.
  • Assemble steel frames through layout, tack, and final welding, including lifting and positioning heavy components.
  • Operate assigned equipment with full knowledge of its capabilities and applicable welding codes, handle machine setup and routine maintenance.
  • Complete all job-related paperwork and data entry accurately.
  • Manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working in elevated temperatures while dressed in layered PPE
  • Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
  • Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.
